How about these?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you repeat the same daily motions to start your day?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you go to the store the same way every time?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How about when you get angry? Do you take the same steps? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, you have a thought. Then, your body tenses up. Then, &lt;br /&gt;you say the wrong things.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, if this isn't what you want in your life, you can change.&lt;br /&gt;You can change the sequence and come up with a different &lt;br /&gt;response. For instance, you can have the thought that normally &lt;br /&gt;starts the anger routine. Then, you realize what is about to &lt;br /&gt;happen and you laugh. Yes, you laugh. Out loud. That stops &lt;br /&gt;the routine of getting angry before you say and do things you'll &lt;br /&gt;regret.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anger is usually just an unconscious pattern that you have. &lt;br /&gt;Change the pattern, change the outcome.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is an article that may help, *Is Anger A Way Of Life For&lt;br /&gt;You?*. Decide from now on that your ways to feel good &lt;br /&gt;are pretty easy, and your ways to feel bad are going to be &lt;br /&gt;pretty hard.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Decide from now on that it's too much trouble to feel bad &lt;br /&gt;if supper isn't ready on time. Decide that it's too much &lt;br /&gt;trouble to feel bad if your favorite team loses a game. &lt;br /&gt;Decide that it's too much trouble to feel bad if you don't &lt;br /&gt;meet a self-imposed deadline.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Realize how easy it is to feel good even if the sun doesn't &lt;br /&gt;shine. Realize how easy it is to feel good even if you are &lt;br /&gt;late for work. Realize how easy it is to feel good even if &lt;br /&gt;you don't meet your goal this week. You can try again &lt;br /&gt;next week.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Decide to feel good and you will feel good. Decide to feel &lt;br /&gt;bad and you will feel bad. Tape a talk show, like Jay Leno or David Letterman, and &lt;br /&gt;mimic the guest stars that you like and admire. Sit as they do, talk &lt;br /&gt;as they do, walk as they do. If you like the feeling you get as you &lt;br /&gt;mimic them, rewind the tape and do it again and again. Start today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you say something like, *That really p----s me off?*&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are one who says the above sentence in a fierce way, &lt;br /&gt;realize now that that sentence does nothing to help you. If it &lt;br /&gt;doesn't help you, there's a good chance that it *hurts* you, and, &lt;br /&gt;in fact, keeps you from living the positive life you want to live. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Decide now to rephrase that sentence in a way that makes you &lt;br /&gt;chuckle. If you are chuckling when you say or think it, it can't &lt;br /&gt;affect you the way it used to.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This could be your new sentence: *Oops. I'm going to have to &lt;br /&gt;drip dry.* &lt;grin&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you find yourself starting to say the first sentence, immediately &lt;br /&gt;go to the second. Imagine It Anyway!&lt;br /&gt;~ By Jan Tincher&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Reality Is For People With No Imagination. Some of you have heard that before, haven't you? That said, get ready to USE your IMAGINATION. OK?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, if you would, please put your elbow on the table, flatten your hand, palm up, and imagine a lemon setting on the palm of your hand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just pretend or imagine that you can indeed smell the lemon.  Sniff it. Doesn't it have a crisp, clean smell?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, doesn't it have a pretty lemon yellow color? Just pretend or imagine that you can indeed see the pretty lemon yellow color of the lemon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And that you can feel the texture of the lemon lightly with the pads of your fingers. Doesn't it feel lumpy?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, squeeze it and imagine or pretend you can feel the consistency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Smell it again. Hold it up to your nose and take a deep breath.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Imagine you can hear someone say, "My, isn't that a pretty lemon you are holding in your hand? Doesn't it smell fantastic?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, I'd like you to, in your mind, cut a slice off the lemon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Are you imagining the juice dripping down your fingers? Good. It's easier to smell the free-flowing juice, now that the lemon is cut, isn't it?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, pick up that slice and put it in your mouth. Just in your mouth, not on your tongue. Doesn't it smell fresh?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OK, do you feel the juices dripping on to your tongue? Great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, set the lemon slice on your tongue. Oooh, can you taste that tangy juice? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Great!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now . . .&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is happening in your mouth?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, if you are like a good percentage of the people, you are having a reaction to the imagined sight, sound, smell, taste, and feel of the lemon.  Your mouth is salivating. OR drying up.  Or you have a clean, crisp taste in your mouth.  Whatever reaction you have is OK.  It's just proving a point.  The point being, your brain was paying attention.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;You know why your mouth is having a reaction when there really is no lemon at all?  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Because you imagined it.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How can that happen?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It happened because your brain does not know the difference between real and "vividly" imagined!  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, how can this help you?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, just think for a minute. What if you are feeling sick or are in pain, and you are just imagining how much sicker you're going to get or how much more pain you are going to feel. Wow. You're really going to be sick, aren't you?  You're really in a lot of pain, aren't you?  And just imagine the results -- you're going to miss work, you're going to miss your appointment, you're going to have all sorts of repercussions that you always get when you are sick or in pain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, why?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why would you want to get sicker? Why would you want to feel more pain?  Why not imagine that you are well?  Or feeling great?  Instead of all doom and gloom that might happen?  Use all your senses and look at the picture of you feeling how you want to feel. Wow. What does it feel like when you see that picture?  What do you look like?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can bet that if you concentrated on seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting (using all of your senses) being well, that's where your brain will take you. You show it a picture you want, believe that it is so, use all your senses to bring it to you, and it'll do it's best to make your great picture your REALITY.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, do you understand the term, "Reality is for people with no imagination?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You usually hear people say, "Get real. This is reality!  My life sucks!"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I say, if you take the time and effort to change your view of reality, your brain will put in the time and effort to make your reality become that of your view.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thank you for reading.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Jan&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S.
